If you’ve set your timezone to something like Europe/London but LinkedIn shows a login from São Paulo, Brazil, don’t worry — this is expected and safe.
🌍 So… Why the Mismatch?
When you sync your LinkedIn account with Captain Data, we assign a dedicated IP based on your selected timezone. In this case, for Europe/Lodon, we use an IP that matches this region.
However, LinkedIn doesn’t always interpret that IP the same way. Their geolocation system relies on third-party data — and even they admit the results aren’t always accurate.
📌 LinkedIn itself states:
“The locations listed below are an estimate of where the IP address may be located… The accuracy of the look-up varies by providers and the location of the device. This should only be used as a rough guideline.”
✅ You’re Safe — Here’s Why
We get that seeing a location mismatch can feel odd. But rest assured:
Your IP is correct and consistent
Once you log in with your LinkedIn credentials, we use the same secure IP for all actions.
It doesn’t affect your account
LinkedIn might say “Brazil”, but your session is stable and won’t trigger warnings.
Captain Data is designed for safety, our system is built with:
🔐 Unique, dedicated IPs
🛡️ Smart usage limits
🕵️♂️ Undetectable mechanisms
No user has ever been flagged due to this.
🔎 Want to Double-Check?
You can view your session history and devices directly in LinkedIn:
These might show location mismatches — but as LinkedIn mentions, it’s just a rough estimate.
💬 Final Thoughts
We’ve verified that our IPs match the timezone you select. If LinkedIn displays something unexpected, it’s just how they interpret the IP — not a red flag.
